CSA Terms & Conditions

Payment

By purchasing a Lucia Rising Flowers CSA Share, either for yourself or as a gift, you agree to the following terms & conditions as the purchaser:

I understand that once I have registered and paid for my CSA share in full, I have secured my place in the CSA for the respective season.  I understand there will be no refunds, either in full or partial for cancellation of my CSA once purchased.  Shares may be transferred to an alternate recipient at any time, provided the new shareholder’s name and contact information has been communicated to Lindsay at Lucia Rising Flowers prior. Lucia Rising Flowers will not facilitate this exchange of holder ownership or any exchange of moneys pertaining to total or remaining share cost.  

Agreements

Purchasers understand that by joining the Lucia Rising Flowers CSA share they are electing to share in the costs, rewards and risks of farming.  Farming is inherently a business that relies on natural forces beyond our control. Risk potentials include but are not limited to: inclement weather, pest damage, total crop loss due to a natural disaster such as drought, flooding, fire, or tropical storm.  While Lucia Rising will apply all methodologies to protect, prepare and raise thriving crops, purchaser understands that there are no guarantees in farming.

I understand that Lucia Rising Flowers are not sold as edible products and are not safe to be consumed as such by animals or humans. It is my responsibility to remove any stems of health or safety concern with respect to allergies or curious pets within the location they will be placed.  Lucia Rising Flowers will not be held responsible for any effects as a result of consuming flowers.

Lucia Rising Flowers is not responsible for the vase life of flowers once they have left farm care but will do everything within their power to extend vase life as long as possible. I.E.: harvesting in the cool temps of morning and later evening, storing flowers in cool storage until pick-up time, properly hydrating and processing stems and properly cleaning flower buckets and harvesting implements. Flowers are living beings with differing preferred conditions, and are all susceptible to external effects.  Lucia Rising Flowers will recommend information on proper handling and care of flower bouquets and arrangements for maximum enjoyment in the home.

Share Dates & Communication

I understand that the share dates of each share season are flexible and based on conditions that year and availability of flowers and foliage. I am aware and understand that Lucia Rising Flowers will communicate the share launch date via the email listed by purchaser at the time of registration at least one week in advance. I understand that it is my responsibility to check my email as it gets closer to the anticipated launch time. It is my responsibility to communicate to the farm via email luciarisingflowers@gmail.com if I am not receiving such notifications or there are any changes in contact information. I understand that registering for a share will also add me to the email communication list and I may receive occasional updates or news of special offerings from the farm in additional to information pertaining to my share.

Picking Up Your Share

I understand that if I am out of town or otherwise unable to pick up my share, it is my responsibility to find an alternative person to pick up my share.  If I am unable to pick up the share or find a substitute, I will not receive a credit or a refund for any shares not picked up. I understand that I forfeit any shares I am unable to pick up.  It is my responsibility to pick up my share at the designated location and within the time parameters given for the pick-up window.
